Visit to SPL, June 2nd 2010

As the weather forecast was sunny, clear blue skies and nice temperatures i decided to go to the airport today. I rented a bike to get arround Schiphol today, since you can rent one nowadays at the airport. I spent most of my time at the taxitrack parralel to the Zwanenburgbaan. At this point all outgoing traffic passed by, wich was going to the Polderbaan. But there was also enough inbound traffic on the Zwanenburgbaan.
There were a few special aircraft present at the airport today. One of them was the first flight of Garuda Indonesia (wich came back to spl after quite some years). Unfortunately it was the first aircraft to take another runway. Other aircraft was a Bae-146 from the RAF present at Schiphol-East. Also a small last visit was payed to the hangar area of KLM, where the last 3 Fokker 50's still were present (The end of an era within KLM).
As final treat some RNLAF Chinooks made a fly-by around the tower, and came directly overhead. Below are the shots, enjoy!
